			WHAT IS AN
			EDITOR
			Editing is the process that transforms a
			miscellaneous collection of badly focused, poorly exposed, and
			horribly framed shots containing reversed screen directions,
			unmatched action, disappearing props, flare, and hair in the
			aperature, but not containing any close-ups, cut-ins, or cut-aways
			into a smooth, coherent, and effective visual statement of the
			original script......for which the Director takes the credit.

			My Favorite Poem - When You are Old

			When you are old and grey
			and full of sleep,
			And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
			And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
			Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

			How many loved your moments of glad grace,
			And loved your beauty with love false or true,
			But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
			And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

			And bending down beside the glowing bars,
			Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
			And paced upon the mountains overhead
			And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

			Bondage
			Editing: 1. Lack

			Mike, how long did it take your
			body to recover from earth's gravity after your shuttle flights?
			My missions were
			very short...6 days max. It only took 3 or 4 days for my body to be
			completely back to pre-launch feelings. I suspect if you were to
			spend months on a space station, the re-adaptation would be longer.
			Thanks for writing. Take care. Mike
